SCDS teachers champion each child's development. Whether a kindergartner or eighth grader, every student is in a learning environment with academic opportunities and personal attention, guided by teachers working toward carefully defined core outcomes.
We expect K-5 students to manage and understand learning concepts; to master necessary educational skills; to demonstrate a high level of responsiveness and responsibility; and to work and think with independence and interdependence.
We believe it is critical for 6-8 (6-8) students to achieve intellectual growth, to build productive relationships, and to develop autonomy.
Everything we do at SCDS helps support these core outcomes. If a student is growing in these ways, there is every reason to predict he or she will graduate from SCDS as a capable young person, ready to meet life's challenges.
