Before a packed house in The Jackson Theater, an eighth grader boldly delivers his lines in Hamlet...racing up the basketball court a seventh grader hears her parents cheer...in the art studio a sixth grader chuckles as his coil-clay vase collapses on the potter's wheel...panning for gold on a field trip, a fourth grader strikes it rich (or so she thinks)...during lunch a fifth grader gets extra math help from a longtime SCDS teacher...browsing in the Library, a kindergartner finds his new favorite book...standing on stage, a once shy third grader confidently reads her poem...

Why be generous? For everyday experiences like these that are beyond price, but unfortunately not free. Like it or not, public and private educational costs rise each year. At SCDS tuition covers most costs, but not all. Contributions help attract and retain the best teachers, develop programs, provide financial aid for students who would otherwise not be able to attend the school, maintain the campus, and much more.
