Santa Rosa, California — Sonoma Country Day School's Condensed Teaching Poetry, a two-day poetry intensive for teachers of poetry will be held July 24-25. This brief but powerful program includes a keynote address by the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts (and former Sonoma County resident) Dana Gioia. Gioia also will teach one workshop the following day; other faculty are conference co-director and poet David Mason, poet Diane Thiel, SCDS Headmaster Philip Nix, and SCDS English teacher Susan Hirsch.
