All SCDS families and friends are invited...
I invite all SCDS families and friends to our annual eighth grade graduation Wednesday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. Our ceremony is an event unique to our school, during which we hear our graduates share thoughts and reflections about their SCDS experience. Without fail, it is a powerful testament to our students, faculty, and program, and a culminating example of the outcomes we strive to achieve.
Alumna Nylah Lummer ’02 will speak. Nylah lives in New York City and is a therapeutic caregiver to several children with special needs including autism and cerebral palsy. An honors scholar at New York University, she graduated in January 2010 with a B.S. in Applied Psychology with a concentration in developmental disorders. She will attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology with a focus on autism spectrum disorders, beginning in Fall 2012.
In addition to awarding diplomas, we will also award the Faculty, Trustee, and Head of School awards.
All students will attend. We encourage families to share the experience with us as well.
