Dancing with the Stars and Stripes (DWTSandS) is patterned after the popular TV show “Dancing with the Stars” and includes teams of dancers in a live dance competition to raise funds for our programs serving VETERANS and their families. Each team consists of a local amateur “Star” and a professional dancer “Pro.”
Teams raise funds by soliciting sponsors and dollar votes, and will compete before a live audience on April 22 in the Jackson Theater at Sonoma Country Day School. In addition to funds raised prior to the event, the audience will have the opportunity to make additional contributions (votes) for their favorite team before the final scoring.
Trophies will be awarded based on professional judges’ scores and on the amount of money each team raises to help Veterans.

The Veterans Resource Centers of America www.vetsresource.org, has served homeless and at-risk veterans and their families for over 43 years with placement and housing, employment training, and comprehensive services including health care and case management. We annually serve nearly 15,000 veterans at fifteen service centers in Northern California, Nevada, and Arizona. Your donation can be directed to LOCAL centers here in Sonoma County if you choose.
