Grandparents and Special Friends Day

Please check in with the grandparents in your family to be sure they have the invitation and to encourage them to attend. Their RSVPs (tracy.mooberry@scds.org) are due by Monday, November 15. Please print this invitation if you would like to share it with a grandparent or special senior friend who is a surrogate grandparent for your family.

 

Grandparents and Special Friends Day will begin at 8:15 a.m. with coffee and pastries in the Grand Gallery followed by a Monday morning assembly at 8:30 a.m. Grandparents will then meet up with their grandchildren and enjoy two classes and recess with them. Our entire community will gather together for a hot lunch in the Farrow gymnasium. View photos of the 2009 event to get a feel of the morning’s activities.

 

Grandparents are welcome to leave after lunch, but we are offering two optional afternoon activities for those who would like to stay on campus: a school tour led by school staff immediately after lunch and the grades 2-8 drama performance of Willy Wonka Junior at 1:30 p.m.
