What parents, alumni and staff say about SCDS:

"I never expected to see fifth-graders performing Hamlet!"

"I never expected my life would be significantly changed by enrolling my two boys in SCDS when we moved here. School is where children learn, not parents. Wrong!"

"The best thing about working for SCDS is that I get to be creative and think big. No one ever says 'We're just an elementary school, we shouldn't do that.'"

"My son always comes home from school excited about his day."

"I never thought I'd cry while listening to the eighth grade graduation speech of a child I didn't even know—especially when my child was in Kindergarten!"

"It makes me smile when I see an eighth grader walking hand-in-hand with a transitional kindergartener."

"I receive as much from SCDS as my child does."

"I was amazed that all children will get on stage in front of their peers and be supported."

"It makes me so proud that our Head of School knows and cares about each student."

"I'm surprised that I have been [employed] here for 14 years. I thought this was a one or two year stop on my way to something else. The people and school have grown to be a significant portion of my life. I'm always amazed at the level of creativity displayed by the staff, kids and parents. It seems to be a place where anything is possible."
