You’re invited to be involved.
At SCDS, we believe we don’t just enroll students—we enroll families. Our school thrives because of the relationships we nurture, the time we share, and the ways we show up for one another. Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to build community, deepen connections, and make a lasting impact on your child’s school experience.
Parents who volunteer often say how rewarding it is to connect with faculty, staff, and fellow families. These moments, whether big or small, help create the vibrant, inclusive culture that defines SCDS. Volunteering also sets a powerful example for our students about what it means to be engaged, generous, and community-minded.
There are many ways to lend your time and talents, including:
-
Joining the Country Day Parents Association (CDP)
-
Helping in the Library
-
Working in the school garden (SLUGS committee)
-
Driving on field trips
-
Assisting with gingerbread house kit assembly
-
Soliciting auction donations
-
Serving as a room parent
Our Country Day Parents Association (CDP) is the heart of parent involvement at SCDS. All parents are automatically members and are encouraged to attend monthly meetings and participate in ways that fit their interests and schedules. To learn more or get involved, please email cdp@scds.org.
We’re deeply grateful for our parent volunteers. Your presence builds the kind of community we all want to be part of; and we can’t wait to have you involved!
