SCDS Fundraising Events
We love bringing our community together, and events at SCDS are where connection, celebration, and purpose come to life.
Throughout the year, we host a wide variety of gatherings that reflect the spirit of our school. From joyful community-building traditions like the Back-to-School Family Picnic, Harvest Fair, Grandparents & Special Friends Day, Holiday Party, and Family Game & Movie Night, to educational showcases such as our Holiday Concert, Literacy Night, Performing and Visual Arts Showcases, Fine Arts Fair, and Spring Musical, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Our Country Day Parents Association (CDP) also organizes several fundraising events to support an annual gift of $150,000 to our school. These include:

And our signature event: La Dolce Vita (LDV)
Held each spring, La Dolce Vita is our primary fundraising event of the year. Whether it’s a black-tie gala, a masquerade, or a “Boots and Bling” celebration, LDV is a highlight for our community. Proceeds from the auction support CDP’s annual gift to the school, and the live auction paddle raise directly benefits the Philip C. Nix Faculty Fund, which honors our founding head of school and supports faculty excellence.
These events aren’t just fun, they’re meaningful. They strengthen our community, celebrate our shared values, and ensure that SCDS continues to thrive.
